It's a little hard to feel sorry for the local dairymen to hear that the Westland/Hallmark slaughterhouse will no longer be buying their sick and dying cows. Maybe after these animals have been "used up," just give them a break and put them to sleep. They've probably made a lot of money off their milk over the years, so it's just another cost of doing business.

I like steaks and burgers as much as the next guy, and am not about to give them up. Would just like to see some higher standards in these meatpacking houses.
