89-Year-Old Twin Sisters Symbolize Roots and Pride of La Verne

Glasgow and Edmondson symbolize the historical roots and civic pride of the town that celebrates its 100th anniversary of incorporation this year, Vagnozzi said. She noted the 89-year-old twin sisters were raised in La Verne, starting only 10 years after the city's incorporation. Their father, Lewis C. Meredith, was an early settler, successful citrus rancher and philanthropist helping make La Verne the town it is today.
