Summary


Jorge Galvan used a journal to chronicle his cumbersome teenage years, and his words eventually transformed into a book month.

Galvan, 18, said despite being in mostly honors and advance placement classes at Montclair High School, and though he considered himself smart, his school days were depressing. That depression led Galvan to begin writing a story when he was 15 and three years later, "Perfection of Life," his first book, will be released on Oct. 23.
