COLTON -- Stater Bros. announced today that the company is No. 493 in the "2005 Fortune 500," Fortune magazine's annual ranking of America's largest companies. Stater Bros. is the only company with headquarters in the Inland Empire to make this year's list.

This is the first year that Stater Bros. has made the "Fortune 500." It is also the 12th largest food and drug store company in America in this year's publication. In 2004, Fortune ranked Stater Bros. No. 561.
