The Inland/Montclair Soroptimists recently held its annual fall fund-raiser at Etiwanda Gardens. The event's theme, "Celebrate the American Spirit," began with the impressive classical guitar playing of Michael Ryan. Ryan is a senior adjunct professor of music at the University of La Verne as well as a regularly featured guitarist at the Candlelight Pavilion.

The patriotic group, which included Ontario Mayor Gary Ovitt and his wife, Sue, began the evening by proudly reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. The pledge was followed by a stirring rendition of the national anthem by Annamarie Megerdichian.
