Local skaters rolled up to Ayala Park Saturday, May 14, fully geared and ready to show off their best moves at the first Best Trick Skate Competition to be held at the new skate park since it's opening in November 2003. Many hoped it won't be the last.

Despite requirements to wear full protective gear -- a helmet, knee and elbow pads -- the competition organized by the city of Chino and Active skate stores, drew a good sized crowd of all aged skaters eager for a chance to show off their skills.
