Scouts Take Apart Computers

Summary


Instead of camping and tying ropes, Alta Loma's Boy Scout Troop 635 took apart computers, created their own Web sites and visited DeVry University in Pomona to explore the world of technology.

"It's important and interesting to receive a merit badge in computers because it measures up to today's technology. If we don't start them at an early age they'll have a hard time as they get older, it makes it easier now," said Darcy Bouchard, Boy Scout master for troop 635. "There is nothing more exciting than allowing a child to do something an adult would do. It's a new adventure for them."
