FONTANA - A person suffered major injuries after being struck by a car Friday evening.

Personnel with the San Bernardino County Fire Department responded at 8:06 p.m. to the 9800 block of Redwood Avenue after receiving a call of a person lying in the street, said Bonnie Curtis, supervising dispatcher. The incident occurred in the unincorporated area of Fontana.
