Summary


At the head of a one-man parade bound for the open road, Peter Apanel has left Pomona a little better, and a little weirder, than he found it.

Apanel is the man who created Pasadena's Doo Dah Parade, the ragtag, irreverent spoof of the Rose Parade. In the late 1990s, though, he was sick of Pasadena's transformation into upscale, corporate cool and went looking for a looser, grittier locale.
