Diamond Bar, Bonita and Claremont high schools were named to Newsweek Magazine's list of the top 1,200 high schools in the United States. Diamond Bar was ranked at 180, Bonita at 395 and Claremont at 621.

According to the magazine, the schools were ranked according to a ratio ''that is the Advanced Placement and/or International Baccalaureate tests taken by all students at a school in 2005 divided by the number of graduating seniors.''
