SAN DIMAS About 30 neighbors gathered near a newly erected stop sign Wednesday to toast "Uncle Joe," a fixture in the community whose death inspired safety precautions at a busy intersection.
Joe Gaynor, 78, was struck and killed May 24 while he crossed Puente Street at Via Esperanza. Neighbors say the intersection has long been a problem and rallied together to urge traffic officials to erect stop signs.See the full content of this document
