It is inconceivable that the Pomona Valley does not have an emergency facility that can treat victims of a major accident. Relying on helicopter service to transfer the critically injured to a trauma center is a woefully inadequate solution to a critical problem.

It is ironic that we do not have a trauma center even though we are paying taxes for it.

Do we have to have a train wreck like the one that was the impetus for the building of the original Pomona Valley Community Hospital in order to have a trauma center established at the Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center?
