Summary
Halloween was in the air a few days early at the Pomona Civic Center on Friday afternoon. Children and teenagers gathered at the center to hear scary stories, play games and compete for fresh pumpkins in the pumpkin walk contest. The Family Fall Festival, organized by Pomona's Community Services Department, was designed to give area youth a central location to participate in activities ahead of Halloween. Among those activities were costume contests for the children and teens.
Winners were: Nicholas Tyler, who was first-place winner in the 1- to 6-year-old category, who dressed as the frog prince; and in the 12- to 15-year-old category the winner was Salvador Manzo, who dressed as a scary rocker.See the full content of this document
