SACRAMENTO - A few choice remarks by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger have ignited the long-smoldering immigration debate in Sacramento, prompting beleaguered Democrats to lash out at the Republican governor with renewed vigor.
Emboldened by Schwarzenegger's recent drop in public opinion polls, Democrats derided the governor's criticism last week of a billboard that implies Los Angeles is a Mexican city, along with his praise for the Minuteman Project, which last month had civilian volunteers patrolling portions of the Mexican border.See the full content of this document
