Summary
The New Testament teaches that those who trust Jesus Christ as Lord are the spiritual descendants of Abraham. As such we are in a position of great privilege. 1 Peter 2:9-10. "But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy."
How many times do we have to read this scripture for it to sink in? I don't know about you but with me it was not really until I was studying to be a minister that it finally hit.
