Girl, 4, Dies After Accident On 10 Freeway

MONTCLAIR - One girl is dead and two children are severely injured after they were involved in a chain-reaction collision Sunday morning on the eastbound 10 Freeway that left 10 people injured and shut down the freeway in both directions.

The victim, identified as Emerald Miller, 4, of Pomona, was seated in the back passenger seat of a 2001 Honda Civic when the vehicle was struck by a 1998 Ford F-150 at 3:37 a.m., said California Highway Patrol Sgt. Kari Clark. The collision occurred near the Central Avenue exit.
