"Put your right finger to your right ear. Take your right elbow and put it to your left knee. Now one and two and three and four." It might sound like odd instructions, but this is what Ellie Hartley tells her class of 16 every Tuesday during the Arthritis Foundation exercise program at the Chino Senior Center.

"Are all our knees working today? Sometimes they do and sometimes they don't," jokes the 69-year-old instructor, as she rises to her feet to get the other ladies moving. "You have to move fast for arthritis."
