Summary
This past week my 21-month-old daughter has been trying to figure out what to do now that Easter has come and gone. Each morning, she stares at her Easter basket and wonders if she will get to do another egg hunt, whether she will get to put on her special Easter dress and get to hear the Resurrection story at church. It's all a little confusing.
Two thousand years ago, the disciples of Jesus Christ were also a bit confused. After Easter, they were waiting to learn more fully what Christ would have them to do, and in the meantime they were trying to carry on their old vocation. One evening, about seven of them went out in a fishing boat for a night's fishing. They had an unsuccessful time of it, and when the day began to dawn, they had caught nothing.
