SAN DIMAS - The area patrolled by the sheriff's San Dimas station saw a drop in violent crime and a rise in property crime last year.

An annual statistical analysis of crime in the station's service area as well as in city limits was presented to the city's Public Safety Commission on Tuesday by Los Angeles County sheriff's Capt. Joseph Hartshorne.
