SAN MARINO - Daniel Woodward, the former library director for the Huntington Library who made many additions to its collections during his 19-year tenure, died Nov. 23 at his home in East Amwell, N.J.

Woodward, who was 76, "was one of the great sort of scholar- collector-bookmen of the middle part of the century," said Mary Robertson, the library's chief curator of manuscripts.
