Blaze Breaks Out at Mouth of Claremont's Palmer Canyon

CLAREMONT -- About 200 firefighters battled a brush fire Monday night that erupted in the hills north of the city, fire officials said.

No structures were immediately threatened by the blaze, which broke out around 8:45 p.m. at the mouth of Palmer Canyon, north of Mt. Baldy Road and Padua Avenue, Los Angeles County fire officials said.
