Summary


Bighorn sheep and mountain lions in the Angeles and San Bernardino national forests will be fitted with expensive new collars so biologists can learn more about their survival and habitats.

Over the next six years, the U.S. Forest Service and the state's Department of Fish and Game will spend $3.9 million to fit 25 bighorns and four mountain lions with collars containing global positioning systems.
