Three Valleys Municipal Water District board member Xavier Alvarez this week will face two separate criminal cases. Jury selection will begin for Alvarez on Monday for insurance fraud, misappropriation of public funds and grand theft. He has pleaded not guilty.

POMONA - The motorcyclist who was killed by a hit-and-run driver Saturday morning has been identified as a retired Azusa Police Department officer.
