Pomona College Sets Showings of 'Woods'

FONTANA - A man was carjacked outside a 24 Hour Fitness early Sunday. Kyle Nachbur, 19, of Fontana walked to his car in the 10200 block of Juniper Avenue at 2:36 a.m. when he was approached by a man, police said.
Upland Police Set Sobriety Checkpoint
UPLAND - Police are conducting a sobriety and driver's license checkpoint Thursday. The checkpoint will be from 4 p.m. until midnight at an undisclosed location. Motorists approaching the checkpoint will see signs indicating the checkpoint is ahead, police said.
Two Pedestrians Hurt in Separate Crashes
RANCHO CUCAMONGA Two people were seriously injured when they were struck by cars within an hour of each other Tuesday, firefighters said. Rancho Cucamonga firefighters received the first call at 4:34 p.m. for an 18-year-old Rancho Cucamonga woman who was struck while crossing Carnelian Street, said fire Battalion Chief Jim Curatalo.
Family Displaced After Bedroom Burns
RANCHO CUCAMONGA A bedroom fire damaged a home andsome of its contents Tuesday morning. Twenty-one Rancho Cucamonga firefighters came to the home inthe 7400 block of Ramona Avenue at 8:55 a.m., said fire Battalion Chief Jim Curatalo.

Man Found Dead in Bloomington Field
BLOOMINGTON - A man was found dead in a field on Saturday after he reportedly was involved in an argument at a bar. The victim, whose name was withheld pending notification of next of kin, had been out with friends at the Noanoa bar where they were involved in a disagreement with other patrons, saidSan Bernardino County Sheriff's spokeswoman Jodi Miller.
No New Health Risks Found in Latest Samples in Wyle Investigation
NORCO Although no health risks were found in the latest round of testing in the ongoing Wyle Labs investigation, officials will continue sampling and are taking steps to reduce present contamination. The results of the November report released by the state Department of Toxic Substances Control last week will be discussed during tonight's City Council meeting, and alsoduring a Community Advisory Group meeting Thursday.
